Intro

Enhancement is a process in which a card is sacrificed to give experience to another card. It is much faster than normal questing for gaining experience, and it is the only way to use Luna other than trading it to other players. It is also one of the only ways to get rid of cards you don't want; other than trading them away or exchanging them. Most people would rather enhance their cards than exchange them because it saves time.

Experience

Experience from enhancement is different than experience from quests. Enhancement shows experience gained as a percentage of each level, instead of the "true" experience that a card gains. That's why it seems that each level requires 100 experience, and cards seem to give less experience as the enhanced card levels up. In reality, cards require more experience as they level, and enhancement does not lose effectiveness for higher level cards.

"True" Experience Card Values

  • 1★ cards are worth base 100xp and gain 50xp per level (Lv1 gives 150xp)
  • 2★ cards are worth base 300xp and gain 150xp per level (Lv1 gives 450xp)
  • 3★ cards are worth base 600xp and gain 300xp per level (Lv1 gives 900xp)
  • 4★ cards are worth base 900xp and gain 450xp per level (Lv1 gives 1350xp)
  • 5★ cards are worth base 1500xp and gain 750xp per level (Lv1 gives 2250xp) (Needs confirmation)
  • 6★ cards are worth base 3000xp and gain 1500xp per level (Lv1 gives 4500xp) (Needs confirmation)
  • 7★ cards are worth ?

How Much "True" Experience Do I Need?

  • Levels 2-21: 50 * next level (Example: Getting to Lv2 from Lv1 is 50 * 2 = 100xp)
  • Levels 22-41: 60 * next level
  • Levels 42-61: 70 * next level
  • Levels 62-81: 100 * next level
  • Levels 82-100: 150 * next level
  • Levels 101-120: 325 * next level
  • Levels 121-140: ?
  • Levels 141-160: ?

Increasing Experience Gain

There are a few ways to increase experience gained per card (Bonuses are multiplicative):

  1. Blessing of the Valkyrie skill: up to 10% increase
  2. Using cards of the same type^: 5%
  3. Using the exact same card (Not efficient): 15%
  4. Enhancement boost from panel events: 50% (Needs confirmation)

In the long-run, these bonuses can make a big difference.

^ All 1-3★ Monsters count as melee. This may not be true for higher-star monsters.

What Level Should I Enhance Feeders To?

Data

Enhancing 2★ Feeders

1-1-2-10.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries.
Zero exp gained or lost up through feeders = 3 (level 4).
1-1-2-5-10.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries + 5% Type Bonus.
Zero exp gained or lost up to feeders = 3 (level 4).
1-1-2-10-50.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries + Enhance Boost.
248 Exp gained with 2 and 3 feeders (levels 4 and 5,) zero exp gained through 6 feeders (level 7). Using 6 feeders to level 7 is a perfectly viable alternative if you have a surplus of 1* feeders instead of 2* feeders.
1-1-2-5-10-50.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries + 5% Type Bonus + Enhance Boost.
The additional 5% type bonus lets you go up to 4 feeders (level 6) and maintain the bonus experience. It also pushes out the zero exp loss to 7 feeders (level 8.)

Enhancing 3★ Feeders

1-1-3-10.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries.
Max exp gain at 11 feeders (level 8) with 495 bonus exp. Stays positive through 17 feeders (level 10) with 165 exp. Personal recommendation is 17 feeders (level 10.)
1-1-3-5-10.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries + 5% Type Bonus.
Max exp gain at 8 feeders (level 7) with 693 bonus exp. Stays positive through 19 feeders (level 11) with 173 exp. Personal recommendation is 16 feeders (level 10) with 347 bonus exp.
1-1-3-10-50.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries + Enhance Boost.
Max exp gain at 11 feeders (level 10) with 1733 bonus exp. Stays positive all the way up to 31 feeders (level 17) with 248 bonus exp. Personal recommendation is 11 feeders (level 10).
1-1-3-5-10-50.png Max Blessing of the Valkyries + 5% Type Bonus + Enhance Boost.
Max exp gain at 15 feeders (level 12) with 1819 exp. Stays positive all the way up to 33 feeders (level 18) with 260 exp. Personal recommendation is 11 feeders (level 10.) This keeps all your 3* feeders the same level and the bonus exp is the same for 11 feeders (level 10) as it is for 15 feeders (level 12.) If you have a large surplus if 1*, going up to 15 feeders here is the optimal place to spend them.
