Wiki Status

Marybeth here, thank you all for your patience as I have dealt with some personal issues preventing me from personally updating most of the wiki until now. Some of the edits still remain. I know I had spoken to some of you about assisting me with the wiki, unfortunately due to my health I have been unable to sit down and consistently write out a manual based on my method of updating the wiki. What I do have for you is Kat's manual with her method on how to edit the wiki if you are willing to contribute your time. It's on one of the sub pages of her profile.

For the Immediate Future

At this point, I need assistance making Character Pages based off of new cards. This means inputting new cards into the database and making a page for each of them.

  • locating the new card in the Recent Uploads (here). Most specifically you're looking for the card back.
  • The edit page, located here: http://fantasicawiki.com/edit.php? Fill in all known data. If you don't know it, leave it blank. Make sure the Unit Name exactly matches the name of the card on the file. You can examine other card unit data to see how the Source field works. It is a little tricky. If you aren't comfortable, leave it blank and it will get handled eventually.
  • SEE HERE for help to set up a Character Page. You can also use another existing card page as a template, but remember that 1★-9★ use a different page format than 10★ and 11★.

Thanks to everyone for all the help you've given since we've taken over from Kattiara. I know it hasn't been perfect by any means, but I am continuing to try my best to keep us up and running. -mwilkens37 (talk)

Units with Multiple Versions

Anyone who is familiar with using the Tabber feature, please keep an eye out for units with multiple versions and edit their coding appropriately. Take a look at the coding for Kanbei Kuroda or Juzo Kakei if you would like to familiarize yourself with how this function works! Make sure to follow the chain and update all applicable versions.
