Head Start Units

Head Start Rewards were a type of rank reward given out as part of regular events. Generally there would be a "Head Start period" consisting of roughly the first half of the full event period. At the end of the Head Start period, rewards were given out based on the event rankings at that time.

Head Start rewards began with The Symphony of Rapture event in July, 2013. They currently seem to have been discontinued on the US servers; the last Head Start Rewards given out were during the Royal Trouble event in February, 2014.

As Head Start rewards could generally only be obtained by devoting potentially large amounts of time and / or resources during the first few days of an event, it could be more challenging for players who spent their resources during that initial period to maintain a high ranking for the overall event rewards.

Head Start rewards continue to be a part of events on the JP servers. A majority of the units that were Head Start rewards in Japan (e.g., Fabiana, Lluvia, Marion, etc.) have been incorporated into different events or packs on the US servers.
