Extreme Packs Season 40 were introduced on November 21st, 2015. It included several new, exclusive units: 10★ Xephora, 9★ Xenne, 8★ Inazuma, and 7★ Razz. 6★ Gwyn and 5★ Sara were also introduced and added to standard card packs.
Extreme Packs are purchased in a tiered order with the increased costs as well as increased bonuses with each tier. Progress on purchasing Steps is permanent. Upon completion of EX 6, both EX 6 and EX 7 became repeatable. EX 7 is available without completion of prior steps.
Steps in Extreme Packs Season 40 were bundled with 
Chivalry Tickets and the new units gave bonuses in Knights of the Round Desk gift event.
Notably, 10★ Xephora was the first 10★ Evo unit introduced.
